The Pakpour Laboratory Focuses on Biomedical Microbiome Research on UBC's Okanagan Campus.

Our research group is home to highly motivated undergraduate and graduate students with backgrounds in Biomedical Engineering, Computational Biology, Microbiology, and Virology. We strive to better understand forces and factors influencing the human microbiome, and how microorganisms interact with the environment, with each other, and with their host.

"Almost everybody is enthusiastic about the promise of biotechnology to cure disease and to relieve suffering. "

Our research has been featured many times, most recently on Victoria News and Castanet.
